Drawings
Structural: S301, S302
Architectural: A301
Changes to Prior Addenda - none
Questions and Answers
Q1. The specified metal roof panel UC-7 is not a weather tight warrantable panel. Either the metal roof system will not have a weather tight warranty is spec is held with this roof panel, or the metal roof panel spec will need to be switched to Firestone’s UC-3 metal roof panel, which can be installed and include the weather tight warranty.
A1. The basis of Design metal roof panel has been changed to UC-3 this addendum.
Q2. The metal wall panel spec is a little confusing because the specific 5v Crimp panel does not align with panel sizing called out. And it’s a panel that is uncommon to use. Please confirm the intent is to use this siding panel or if one of Firestone’s other profiled panels are preferred such as the HR-Ultra Omega Siding panel that was installed on the Corrosion Control Bldg.
A2. Confirming the use of 5v Crimp panel for design appearance, design intent. Refer to correction to panel width this addendum
Q3. I am looking for a couple things in order to get pricing on the radius standing seam roof: chord length, chord height, arc length, panel length, and radius.
A3. Dimensions have been provided this addendum.
General -None

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Do not begin installation of preformed metal roof panels until substrates have been properly prepared.
B. If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify COR of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
3.02 PREPARATION
A. Coordinate roofing work with provisions for roof drainage, flashing, trim, penetrations, and other adjoining work to assure that the completed roof will be free of leaks.
B. Separate dissimilar metals by applying a bituminous coating, self-adhering rubberized asphalt sheet, or other permanent method approved by roof panel manufacturer.
C. Where metal will be in contact with wood or other absorbent material subject to wetting, seal joints with sealing compound and apply one coat of heavy-bodied bituminous paint.
3.03 INSTALLATION
A. Overall: Install roofing system in accordance with approved shop drawings and panel manufacturer's instructions and recommendations, as applicable to specific project conditions.
Anchor all components of roofing system securely in place while allowing for thermal and structural movement.
1. Install roofing system with concealed clips and fasteners, except as otherwise recommended by manufacturer for specific circumstances.
2. Minimize field cutting of panels. Where field cutting is absolutely required, use methods that will not distort panel profiles. Use of torches for field cutting is absolutely prohibited.
B. Accessories: Install all components required for a complete roofing assembly, including flashings, trim, closure strips, caps, equipment curbs, ridge closures, and similar roof accessory items.
C. Roof Panels: Install panels in strict accordance with manufacturer's instructions, minimizing transverse joints except at junction with penetrations.
