NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
ADDENDUM 2.1
DATE: 19 Aug 2022
| PROJECT TITLE & NUMBER: | Repair Entry Control Point |
| W912LM-22-R-1001 PN: FMKM152015 |
1. This amendment is being issued to clarify items addressed in Addendum 02 to some of the submitted questions.
Q1. Addenda 2 replaced 3 spec sections relating to gates & barriers. The replacement specification section 32 3136 Vertical Pivot Lift Gates makes reference to spec section 11 1200 Parking Control Equipment. The is currently a spec section 11 1200 but it is Access Control Equipment. Does this need further review & clarification?
A1. There was an error in the naming of the specification section. Section 11 1200 is named Parking Control Equipment and no further review of the original section 11 1200 is necessary. Remove the title Access Control Equipment.
Q2. The revised spec (2.02 A 4) also call for proximity card reader controls but there is no specific information regarding the card reader including type or number of cards or if it is part of a different system. There is no electrical specification that would cover this either. If this is supposed to be part of the Advantor access control system, we will never get pricing by next week. Please clarify how this portion of the system will work or if it is by others outside of this contract.
A2. Please consider this work outside the contract. SRM funds do not pay for access control wiring or devices. Contractor shall provide rough-in only to all card reader locations. Separate pricing may be requested after contract award, to be funded by others. At that time, the A-E firm will provide the required information to provide pricing. This work will be part of the Advantor system.
This amendment must be acknowledged when submitting your proposal.
