The new crew position desks and TV/Monitor stands must allow the operations floor to be reconfigured as needed for mission position changes. The new desk must allow all configurations of computers, monitors, and associated equipment required for each crew position. The open design of the desk must allow maximum heat dissipation to extend the life of the computers being used by the analysts. The desk must be capable of a dual tier of monitor configurations.
The ergonomic design of the desk must allow the analyst to adjust the desk and the monitors to the height that best fits them. The design of the desk also allows the analyst to either sit or stand during missions allowing them to perform their duties for a longer period of time.
Quantities:
· TV/Monitor stands – quantity 15, see requirements in item “C” below.
· 72” Crew Position desk – Quantity 18 total, 4 require 2 adjustable KVM mounts and 14 require 1 adjustable KVM mount. See requirements in item “A” below.
· 60” Crew Position desk – Quantity 54 total, all require 1 adjustable KVM mount. See requirements in item “B” below.
· All desks and stands require accessories as specified below and installed on the stand or desk as shown on the attached drawing.
A. 72” Crew Position Desk Specifications:
Crew Position Desk:
· Crew position desk must be 72” wide and maximum 50” deep.
· Desks must have an open design for ease of cooling for computers and other devices.
· Desks must be an ergonomically adjustable desk that allows the work surface and monitor support platforms to be independently electronically adjustable. This allows each operator to either stand or sit while performing their duties. It also allows each operator to adjust the desk and monitors to their optimal ergonomic seating position and monitor viewing location.
· It must have two horizontal rails spanning the width of the desk for multiple monitor shapes, sizes, and configurations.
· The desk must have capability of mounting 8 monitors of various sizes on adjustable monitor arm mounts. The monitor arm mounts will be attached to the horizontal monitor rails and must be adjustable horizontally, vertically, and allow for the monitors to extend, tilt, and pan for varying length to create a parabolic viewing area.
· Desk must have an open shelf located on the back bottom of the desk to mount CPU’s and other devices. The shelf should extend the width of the desk and be approximately 20” deep.
· Must have 2 flexible cable wire management tracks attached to the lower horizontal monitor support track that allows the routing of cables from the horizontal monitor support to the CPU shelf. These wire management tracks will be located on both the right and left side of the horizontal support.
· Must have 2 flexible cable wire management tracks attached to the underside back portion of the work surface near the outside supports extending down to the front of the CPU shelf this allows the routing of cables from the work surface to the CPU shelf. These wire management tracks will be located on the right and left side.
· Must have 4 universal wire management channels located on the back side both left and right of the upper and lower horizontal monitor track to allow the routing of cables from the monitors to either the power strip or the flexible cable wire management channels for connection to devices on the CPU shelf
· Must have 2 universal wire management channels attached to the underside back portion of the work surface to allow routing cables from the work surface to the flexible wire management channels to connect cable to either the CPU shelf or KVM.
· Must have 2 power strips mounted to the underside back of the CPU shelf on both the right and left side to supply power to devices on the CPU shelf. See power strip requirements below.
· Must have 1 power strip located on the back side of both the upper and lower horizontal monitor tracks (for a total of 2), to supply power to devices mounted on the monitor track. See power strip requirements below.
· Must have an adjustable CPU/KVM mount located on the outside bottom of the work surface support to allow multiple KVM configurations. 4 of the 72” crew desks will require the mount on both the right and left side and the remaining 14 will only require the mount on the right side.
· The primary frame must be built from steel with a powder-coated finish for durability.
