Questions
| JBLM BATS Facility ICIDS install and pedestrian gate install | ||
| List of Questions | ||
| Question | Answer | |
| 1 | During the survey, on-site personnel discussed if the Contractor should also provide and install a second rotating dome warning light along the wall or ceiling inside the vestibule in the BATS facility, can the government clarify if this will be added into the scope of work? | The government requires 3 rotating lights. One in the vestibule and two in the BATS facility to alert occupants in the front and back of the facility of the presence of uncleared personnel. This may require a revision to the PWS and SOW. |
| 2 | The reserved space for the IDS enclosure is not large enough to contain the enclosure. Can the government clarify if it is acceptable to install the IDS panel and ACS panels near the inner vestibule entrance inside the secure area? | It is acceptable to locate the IDS panel near the main entrance to facilitate arming/disarming the alarm system. However the ACS/RSM workstation should be located at approximately the mid-point of the west wall. |
| 3 | A switch inside the BATS facility will be required to connected the ACS and IDS panels to the workstation/server that will reside in the BATS facility, will the Contractor need to provide this switch? | Yes, if a switch is required the contractor should provide it. |
| 4 | Can the Government confirm where the existing spare conduit near the vehicle gate is accessible from within Building 853 for the new pedestrian gate panel connection? | Should be accessible from that storage room on the east end of 853. I think that is what they are asking? Unless they mean the one inside the power plant on the east wall? |
| 5 | Can the government confirm where the Remote Status Monitor (RSM) workstation is to be installed within in the BATS facility? | See tab #2 of this spreadsheet labelled "RSM Location". |
| 6 | Can the government confirm if site personnel operator training will be required for the system installed? | Yes, on-site operator training is required. This may require a revision to the PWS and SOW. |
