QUESTION 2: Please confirm if there is an existing concrete slab (for the target system to anchor to), and the dimensions of the slab.

ANSWER 2: A concrete slab will be available to anchor. The slab will be 60 feet long and 3-5 feet in depth.

QUESTION 3: Please advise the location of down range electric, and available electric capacity.

ANSWER 3: Electricity will be provided by utility pool adjacent to firing line.

ANSWER 4: There will be a control room in the administration building, max distance 10-15 yards.

QUESTION 5: Please confirm that master control console, with WiFi to wireless (tablet) controller is acceptable – no internet connection required, local network (master console to wireless hand-held) just uses same 802.11 protocols.

ANSWER 5: Yes.

QUESTION 6: Please advise the locations of existing bullet trap and ballistic containment baffles (for coordination).

ANSWER 6: No existing bullet trap or ballistic containment baffles exist.

QUESTION 7: Please advise the expected length for the ‘underground conduit for wire/hoses’ noted in the requirements.

ANSWER 7: No more than 100 feet in length.

QUESTION 8: Please advise the particulars of the existing foundation for the ballistic containment.

ANSWER 8: There is no existing foundation.

QUESTION 9: Please confirm if a ballistic knee wall of AR500 steel with vulcanized rubber facing over an airspace, in lieu of timbers and earth, is acceptable. Assuming it will withstand all handgun ammunition, all commercial shotgun (shot and slug), and all commercial rifle ammunition to .30cal including M16/M14.

ANSWER 9: Yes. The ballistic knee wall with AR500 steel will be placed in front of the turn targets. Ballistic knee wall sole purpose is to protect the turn target systems and lane identification.

QUESTION 10: Please confirm if ballistic wall dimensions in specification are recommendation, or requirement (i.e. all target actuators must hold the target at 36” or higher, and wall must be total 66” wide (front to back)).

ANSWER 10: Recommendation. 36” from the top of the knee wall, which means target paper must be fully seen above knee wall. No specific requirement for depth of knee wall as long as it can stop up to a 308 caliber round.
