Solicitation: W9128F‐16‐R‐0071
Subject: Tank Repairs, Facility 104, Pittsburgh IAP, PA – RFIs
The following were questions asked and answers regarding solicitation W9128F‐16‐R‐0071:
1. Will the site allow the wash water to drain using installed drainage?
Answer: They can use installed drainage for pressure wash as long as they are using water only;
anything else (detergent, etc.) would have to be collected. Most discharges other than precipitation are prohibited under the current installation storm water permit, but water only discharge from pressure washing would be allowed given it contains no sheen or other contaminants.
2. Does the site expect the pressure washing to create the equivalent of petroleum contact water?
Answer: This would not be expected, however this is work in a containment area so the possibility for sheen does exist.
