Q & A for Ballistic Protection Panels

Q1: What thickness of steel? What type / grade? Little confused on what is being requested. Is it just the black steel frame in the photo? You are not requesting the transparent (plexi-glass) panel shown in the photo? You only want the steel frame with triangle base plates that holds that? Are there any other materials to be expected on this other than the steel?

A1: The panels have to meet the standards referenced in the specifications. It does include the ballistic glass (not plexi-glass) for the top two feet and ballistic material for the bottom four feet. The size and thickness of the steel is whatever is required to support the weight of the ballistic materials. Each 3’ x 6’ panel system has to be on casters to roll around.

Q2. Will offloading/lift gate + inside delivery be required at delivery?

A2. Yes. This is covered in the specifications posted with the synopsis on FBO.

Delivery is required at multiple destinations around the state per the list of unit locations posted with the solicitation.

Q3. Is setup and training needed?

A3. No.
