Performance Work Statement for Upgrade of Tenney Walk-In Chamber.
1.0 Requirements Overview
The cooling and heating capability of a 10'X10' walk-in chamber (Mfr. – Tenney, Model # WITR) will be increased in order to achieve a minimum average of 2°C/minute cooling and heating rate (while the chamber is empty). The current cooling rate of the chamber is less than .5°C/minute, with the heating rate at less than 1°C/min. In order to achieve the requested rates, a few modifications will be required which could include, but not limited to, compressor replacement, new blower/circulation fans, evaporator updates and new/additional heating elements. The physical structure of the chamber and the system controllers should remain unmodified and will be integrated into the upgraded chamber. When the project is complete, the chamber will be controlled solely by its current integrated controller, maintain its current temperature range of -45°C to +82°C with a humidity range of 20-95 percent (in dry bulb range of +20°C to +82°C), and meet the minimum average temperature ramp rate of 2°C/minute (within the temperature range of 70°C to -40°C). The contractor shall be responsible to provide all materials, tools, and labor required to remove the current parts and to upgrade the system.
2.0 Performance

• Heating within the temperature range of -40°C to 70°C at a minimum average rate of 2°C/min.
• The chamber will be controlled solely by its current integrated controller.
• The chamber will maintain its current temperature range of -45°C to +82°C with a humidity range of 20-95% (in dry bulb range of +20°C to +82 °C).
