Subject: Site visit questions.
1. How the SOW of was arrived at? Where did the list of repair originate? Is a copy of that service report available?
The list came from a contractor which inspected the UPS system and gave the Government recommended repairs.
2. Are the existing battery racks available for us?
Yes
3. In section 2.4; "Remove the Defective Inductors and refurbish them transport them". Is this requiring; take them to transformer repair shop for repair, dip & bake? What is the size and quantity of the inductors?
The model number will tell you the number and the size, should follow the manufacture's instruction to refurbish.
4. In section 2.2; "Total Capacity shall be 750KVA. Batteries shall be Factory load tested". Is this requiring a load bank test at the job site?
Factory load test is sufficient, don't need to be re-tested
5. The refurbishment of these inductors is not recommended by Liebert Services because of the critical requirements of exacting current flow. When the job walk was conducted, participants were not allowed to open the door to the UPS? And the Inductors are in the middle back of the UPS and the heat sync cover would need to be removed to obtain a Part number.
Again, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Where all the details of the repair and refurbish came from SABAH ISSA? Is there a copy of a repair service report or something that will provide some added information?
The inspection report, mentioned in 1 above, did not provide more info than what is on the
SOW
