RESPONSES TO VENDOR QUESTIONS
1. We’re looking to submit a bid for this project, but there’s an error in your solicitation. Can you please confirm that you’re looking for 9 shower trailers with 10 shower heads? On page 16 the bid reads:4.2.1.1.
Each shower trailer shall have less than ten (6) showerheads providing hot and cold water.Do does the department need 6 or 10 heads? Any guidance is appreciated.
Answer: We will need 9 shower trailers. Each shower trailer shall have a minimum of 6 showerheads.
2. Section 5.1.5 states the contractor shall be responsible for delivery of fresh water to shower units, but section 5.1.8. states the government will provide potable water location. Is the Contractor or Government responsible for providing water to shower units.
In order to ensure fair and open competition, please provide a fixed number of shower heads per trailer or ratio for showers per PAX (Current OSHA standards are a 1:10 ratio for latrines and showers). The ambiguity in section 5.1.1. "no less than six (6) showerheads providing both hot and cold water capable of rate of two gallons per minute." can cause contractors to quote completely different shower heads per trailer which in turn affects the overall quote total.
Answer: The government will identify the water location, but the contractor shall be responsible for filling all water using trailers and the pressure of each unit. We will need 9 shower trailers. Each shower trailer shall have a minimum of 6 showerheads.
3. 1. Scope mentions filling propane for heating of water for laundry trailers but not for shower trailers. Will the government or contractor be handling the fuel for heating of water for shower trailers?
Answer: Propane for heat water on both the laundry trailers and shower trailers shall be provided by the contractor.
4. 2. Scope mentions that the government will be providing a potable water site/point. Is there enough water pressure to supply shower trailers or will contractor have to provide a means of increasing pressure?
Answer: The government will identify the water location, but the contractor shall be responsible for filling all water using trailers and the pressure of each unit.
5. Would a 3 station shower combo work for this?
Handles 300 people per day Requires 110v power Water spigot for garden hose Is 6 wide by 16 long by 11 high
W911SA23Q3078
3 unisex stalls with sink and dispensers in each stall?
Answer: No, each trailer Shall contain a minimum of 6 showerheads
