VENDOR Q&A 3/30/2023
Question: “C5.3 shows mow pad and mow strip details. Please submit RFI asking where the Mow Strip will be used as I only see notes regarding Mow Pads per detail 7 on the site layout plans.
Response: Please refer to Sheet E1.6 where the note says
Response: Also refer to Sheet C1.9 where it references mow pad. The terms “mow pad” and “mow strip” are confusing, however, the term “mow strip” appears to mean a concrete strip around the perimeter of an equipment pad, such as depicted on Sheet C1.9. The term “mow pad” appears to refer to the descriptions on details 5 and 6 of Sheet C5.3, and would be used around singular objects like hydrants, pedestals, etc. Note that detail 6 /C5.3 would be used around signage and the dimensions are 3 ft by 3 ft.
Question: Also is there to be a propane slab/wall in both Part A and Part B?
Response: To clarify, all propane tanks, slabs and walls for propane tanks are not required in both packages.
Question: Please verify if the tank crossing on page C1.6 looks like it will be new, but on C1.11 it looks to be existing and no work, please advise if there is new concrete or not and if so what is the detail.”
Response: On sheet C1.11, a leader indicates that it is an existing concrete tank crossing. Another leader above it indicates to protect existing road edge, which appears to be the concrete tank crossing, and subcut for gravel and match. No typical sections or details were seen in the plans that indicate any new concrete tank crossing surface or reinforcing steel details specific to a tank crossing slab. Therefore, there will not be any new tank crossing construction.

Question: If it is not documented, how are we expected to know what we need to refeed if the feed is not on the schedule? It is almost impossible to budget for this.
Response: To clarify, there is no expectation that contractor is to re-feed equipment that is not slated for removal.
If it is necessary, it would fall under a contract modification. However, all existing electrical equipment that may be damaged or not in working order resulting from the installation of new electrical services required by this contract would need to be repaired and functional.
