Text version

Will a location on JBLM be provided for excess soils? If so, could you please provide the current JBLM borrow source permit SOP?

See revised section 15.2.5 (and sub-sections) for updated SOP. The JBLM borrow pit is not available for this project. The KTR shall test the soil IAW the revised SOW language and provide test results as a submittal. Soils not reused shall be disposed of off-site. Soil not removed from the project site does not require testing.

The 1442 states, “The NAICS code for this project is 236220”. However, on Pg. 48 0f 49 of the SOW references NAICS 238220. Which is the correct NAICS?

This is a typo. The correct NAICS code is 236220.

Will a grounding test report be required for the grounding system at the new structure?

No. The KTR shall install the two grounding rods (one on each end of the new container) per the grounding detail in Attachment #1. A report showing the resistance to ground is not required.

Should the electrical contractor plan to upsize the pipe size for the circuit to the new SKIF to accommodate for derating of the conductor ampacity?

See revised statement in 1.4.2.1. The PVC ducts are to be a “minimum of 2-1/2.” This allows for upsizing based on derating of conductors in order to meet NEC requirements.

0002 1.4.2.1.a Mentions that the Conduits shall be dead-ended into the MDP/MDP vault, does the existing pad have a block-out so we can add the additional conduit, or do we need to core drill the existing pad?

See changes in 1.4.2.1.a. In lieu of going under the MDP, the KTR shall LB into the top of the MDP.

Conduit above ground to be supported via galvanized steel channel. Also note in 1.4.2.1.b. that there is to be a new circuit breaker (not reuse existing).

Can the government provide a duct bank detail?

A detail is not available at this time. However, three new photos were added to Attachment #2 to show an example of this. Photos show ducts on plastic chairs with form work installed while concrete is poured.

Will all excavation spoils require testing prior to be transported off the project site?

Excavation spoils that are to be transported offsite shall be tested IAW the guidelines in revised section

15.2.5 of the SOW. Soil not removed from the project site does not require testing.

**KTR to note section 1.4.2.2.b. was changed to allow the KTR to LB into the side of building 9114 for the communication duct if they wish.
