Statement of Work, 4 October 2016
Statement of Work (SOW) Hot dip galvanizing of MK79 metal pallets
Quantities:
Guaranteed Min. 140 Sets Contract Max. 21,000 Sets
(Each set consists of top and bottom frame – one (1) each) 248 lbs per set Lot shipment = 140 sets
Variation in quantity of +10% is permissible for ordered quantity.
Scope:
The vendor location where work will be performed shall be within 200 miles driving distance of McAlester, OK. McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) will transport pallets to and from the vendor’s location where galvanizing will be performed. The vendor will be responsible for the loading and unloading of Government trailers at the job site.
Each pallet set consists of a top and a bottom frame. The condition of the pallets is new and rusted. Pallets shall be hot dip galvanized and must meet ASTM-A123 / A123M standards. To ensure a legible stencil, Contractor will give special attention to all stenciled areas on pallet, as well as all saddle areas to minimize surface roughness after galvanizing.

A preproduction testing quantity of three (3) pallet sets shall be provided to the Government for testing purposes, within fourteen (14) calendar days of Contractor receipt of the pallets. See also the clause entitled, "First Article Approval -- Government Testing".
Once the preproduction testing quantity is approved in writing by the Contracting Officer, the Contractor shall have seven (7) calendar days to complete each lot of pallet sets for Government pickup. Each lot shall be supported with a Certificate of Conformance and a packing slip.
All Certificates of Conformance shall be IAW FAR 52.246-15 and must indicate the specification of "ASTM A123/ASTM A123M". No deviations or variations to this specification will be permitted.
