1. Will it be possible to have the aircraft that are staged directly South of the Static unit moved during the project to protect them from any possible overspray? (Question for Ops Group leadership/Airfield Manager regarding the possibility of long term relocation of aircraft, and any impact to mission ops)

2. Due to the location of air conditioning duct work next to the East side of the aircraft, it will be difficult to spray the fender area. Are we allowed to "touch up / spot paint" around that area? Yes, “touch-up / spot paint” is fine for the area next to the air conditioning duct work. Make a reasonable attempt to paint all areas that are visible from the outside.

3. Due to the height of the tail being roughly 40 feet in the air, are there any concerns about parking / using man lifts in the area? (Question will be directed to Airfield Manager prior to work commencing)

4. Are we allowed to power wash the aircraft after sanding / prepping the surface? (External building washdown/power wash water that does not use soaps, detergents or hazardous cleaning products (e.g., bleach, hydrofluoric acid, muriatic acid, sodium hydroxide, nonylphenols); that does not contain leachable hazardous substances (e.g., paint or caulk containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Routine washing of buildings' exteriors is minimized and utilizes water only for cleaning. Implement appropriate control measures to minimize discharges of mobilized solids and other pollutants)

5. May the temporary fencing be "caution tape" type fencing or does it need to be a wire, chain-link, or other material? In accordance with the PWS, the temporary fencing needs to provide for securement of equipment and containment of foreign object debris.

6. May we use an alternate paint manufacturer such as Sherwin Williams? Alternate paint manufacturers are ok, as long as the paint meets the specifications in PWS.

7. Would you please clarify the guidelines of the WRANGB in reference to:

a. 1-1-4 Markings Per the PWS, the contractor is responsible for exact reproduction of the aircraft paint scheme, including colors, current tail number and unit artwork, and all aircraft specific functional markings.

b. 1-1-8 Removal of Organic Coatings (Removal of any organic material should be collected and disposed of. Sampling has not been accomplished to determine if paint is lead based paint. Any blast material used to clean any surfaces should also be collected and disposed of IAW Federal, State, Local regulations)

c. 1-1-691 Cleaning & Corrosion Prevention (Cleaning & Corrosion Protection - our new stormwater permit does allow for exterior cleaning of buildings so I would think the Static Trainer would fit the intent since it cannot be moved to accomplish any cleaning.)
