131-Aug-2107-Sep-21Sect. 4.4.4, “Replace 2 filters in driers.” These are R22 components. R410A and R22 don’t mix. We can provide new removable filter driers or will an approved solvent be sufficient to clean the driers before new filters are installed?New filter driers should be installed.108 CES
231-Aug-2107-Sep-21The DX Evap coils in the air handler are presently R22 DX coils. Are they sufficient to handle the additional pressures that are present in a 410A system?Yes they are sufficient to hold a higher pressure like 410A, but per response to question below, evap coils and line set shall be replaced.108 CES
07-Sep-21The existing DX Evap coils in the air handler, will have a residue from the existing R22 refrigerant. Refrigerant 410A is a compound that does not mix with R22. How will the residue be removed? Should the DX Evap coils in the air handler be replaced as most manufacturers will not warranty a mixed refrigerant system.Yes coil and line set shall be replaced to prevent mixing of refrigerant.108 CES
07-Sep-21Excising R22 charge in system is to be recovered and given to the government.” Will the government be suppling the recovery tanks or do we include them in the base bid?Recovery tanks shall be included in base bid for project.108 CES
07-Sep-21Will there be the need for BACNET capability in the new condenser? Is there on present in the existing equipment? Is this a standalone system? If so, who is the present controls system provider?Yes there will be a need for bacnet compatibility. The HVAC unit controls need to be upgraded and tied into our existing DDC system to allow us to monitor the HVAC unit status. In addition, this building is not a standalone unit it is on our current ddc hub in building 3301 but we can’t see controls for building 3333.108 CES
