Vendor Questions

Q1: I have a question regarding one of the requirements set forth in the SOW under the tethered sUAS requirement section.“ 15. Must be capable of continuous flight.” Is there a specific time requirement in hours your group is looking for?

A1: When using the drones tethered feature the need is for the ability to continuously feed power to the sUAS thus allowing continuous flight for the duration of use. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Q2. TAK is an app for knowing the location of assets and what they can see. There are multiple levels of interoperability,

1.The basic form is LOI 1 which allows for the transmission of location and video streams
2.LOI 2 adds gimbal control.
3.LOI 3 is full command and control of assets. This is all achieved through the standard TAK Android app which encourages vehicle makers to configure their systems to support the ATAK platform. Thus, TAK integration puts the onus on the vehicle maker to support the TAK platform

Based on these 3 levels, can you advise which specific level of interoperability is required?

A1. Minimum requirement is level one, but two and three are acceptable.
