Questions and Responses
1. Does the equipment need to be TAA Compliant, Follow APL List of approved devices
• Yes, all TVs will need to be TAA / APL compliant
2. Can you offer pictures of the dining hall? Dimensions, the height of the ceiling, etc.

3. Will the removed equipment be disposed of by the Government, or does disposal need to be included in the quote?
• Disposal needs to be included in the quote
4. How many microphones do you need to use simultaneously? Do you need to use all 8 or just 4 at the same time?
• 4 at the same time is plenty, no need to use 8 microphones at once
5. Do the displays need to have WiFi capability?
• No WiFi capability is authorized in displays
6. Do the 85”-100” displays need to have the ability to display independently, or just mirror?
• Yes, the monitors should have the ability to display independently and mirror as needed
7. Does the 42” display (item 2.2g) need to tie in to the other monitors?
• No, this display is independent
8. Do you want a sensor that detects when the room partitions are open? This will automatically duplicate displays when triggered.
• This is acceptable, but is not a requirement. It could be looked at as added value when evaluating quotes.
9. Will the Government patch holes created to run wires/install hardware, or does this need to be included in the quote?
• Yes, our civil engineering office will patch the holes as required. The contractor will need to let the government know where the wires will need to be once the drawings are complete.
10. The vendor will reuse the existing speakers in the room, but is there an Audio Speaker Amplifier?
If so, what is the model of amplifier currently installed in the dining hall? Will that be repurposed?
Yes, we would be able to use the Audio Speaker Amplifier. The Model is: QSC Direct 70V amplifier, model CX302V
11. Is there a Digital Signal Processor in the room? DSP- if so, what model?
We have a DBX 166XL compressor limiter
12. What model are Bose speakers currently in the room?
Model of Bose speakers are 32 Flush Mount Loud Speaker
13. The equipment rack requested- would the government prefer a wall-mounted unit? That opens in the back and front for easy maintenance and with lockable doors?
14. A wall mounted equipment rack is acceptable, but other options will be considered if they meet the requirements in the Statement of Need.
14. Micro sets come with Lavalier and Handheld mics in a set, but you can only use the lavalier or handheld separately. Would the government prefer the combo sets or individual microphones for each lavalier and handheld?

15. The federal government does not allow TV monitors for their TV with Wifi, Bluetooth, or Smart features. The government is requesting 4K Smart TV for government network installation, but Smart TV generally means WIFI and or BlueTooth. Is this solicitation different, and can we offer SMART TV with built-in wifi?
No WiFi capability is authorized in displays
16. Do we need to follow the DISA APL List of approved devices for this solicitation?
Yes, all TVs will need to be TAA / APL compliant
17. Does the equipment need to be TAA Compliant?
Yes, all TVs will need to be TAA / APL compliant, direct questions to Contracting for more information.
18. Statement of Need asks for the government to be able to stream content? How would like the government prefer how to connect sources to the system.
HDMI cables
19. In the TV requested specs, DVI connections are not available on modern TVs. Should a dongle for DVI be offered with the quote, DVI is older technology?
Yes, please provide DVI dongle in quote for each station where the HDMI inputs will go if the connection is not already included in the equipment
20. Would the government prefer inputs for each room via an HDMI wall plate for BYOD?
21. Wall plates are acceptable. Other HDMI input options will be considered if they meet the requirements in the Statement of Need.
21. Can the government offer pictures of the room with the dimensions of the room, please?

22. Will the questions from the site survey be released?
All questions from the site survey are included in this document
23. Will a simple room layout/floor plan be provided (with measurements such as ceiling height, width and length of the room)?
See attached power point
24. Will the current projectors be controlled by the new system?
Current projectors will no longer be there- this is part of the demolition. Removal of projectors should be included in the quote.
25. Do you have any pictures of the space or drawings?

26. Can you provide pictures of the classrooms?

27. What material is the ceiling made of?
Drop tile, 14 feet high
28. What type of material are the walls? (i.e. drywall, concrete)
The walls are about 75% dry wall and 25% concrete
29. What are the content input sources for all of the displays?
HDMI
30. How many inputs for content presentation are required in each room? And where should they be located (i.e. table or wall plate)?
One input for each room, there will never be more than one presentation going on per room. Wall plates are preferred. Other HDMI input options will be considered if they meet the requirements in the Statement of Need.
31. Is the power for all new displays in place? If not, will the Government be installing this prior to the AV Vendor arriving onsite?
The government (Civil Engineer Squadron) will install power as needed. They will just need to see a drawing of the plan of where things will go and then install power as needed based off the plan/layout of the equipment in the room.
32. Do you prefer the Control Panels to be mounted on the walls or tabletop?
A hand-held control panel is preferred. However, if hand-held is not an option, wall-mounted control panels will be considered. Tabletop control panels will not be acceptable.
33. Please provide pictures of the existing equipment racks.

34. What are the make and model of the existing displays that will need to be integrated into the system?
None, they will all be demo’d and removed, which should be included in the quote
35. What are the make and model of the existing speakers in the room that will need to be integrated into the system?
Model of Bose speakers are 32 Flush Mount Loud Speaker
36. Would you like a front and a rear camera in each room since they are wide rooms? The presenter would be captured from the rear camera and the audience would be captured by the front camera in each room.
This is not necessary. No camera needed
37. Where would you like the HDMI and USB connections for MS Teams functionality? (at the GFE lectern, or somewhere else?)
We would like the option to have HDMI on the lecturn if possible so someone can plug in there computer and present from the lectern if possible. We are also okay with having HDMI connections mounted to the wall.
38. Please provide a picture of the lecterns to be reused.

39. Where is the equipment rack to be located in the rooms? Should it be a single rack for the system if it is a divisible room system?
In the current room we use as the “cash cage.” Single rack preferred
