Q1. The Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for Recycling Pickup/Disposal VA051 call for Dumpsters Needed: (1) 4 Cubic Yard Dumpster Serviced 1X Every Week. However, Performance Work Statement (PWS), para. 5.2.1 states, “…two eight cubic yard dumpsters for recycling items as well as (0 qty) gallon toters to move the recycling items from inside the building to the dumpsters.” Which containers are required for Recycling Pickup/Disposal – the quantity and size listed under the CLINs for Recycling Pickup/Disposal or the quantity and size listed in the PWS at para. 5.2.1?
A1. One, four Cubic Yard Dumpster Serviced 1X Every Week. PWS para. 5.2.1 has been revised accordingly. Solicitation Amendment 0003 will be issued to incorporate this correction.
Q2. Is the list of materials in PWS para. 2.7, Recyclable Material, (aluminum or steel cans, clear and colored glass, plastics, paper (white/mixed office, computer, pressed, newspaper, magazines, catalogs), corrugated cardboard) accurate as far as what we should expect to be recycled? If not, what materials should we expect or not expect?
A2. PWS para. 2.7 sets forth all materials which are normally collected and sorted for reprocessing into new or different commodities. PWS para. 2.7 sets forth a listing of present normal collection and sorting items. These items may change and other items be added to the list of recyclable materials as markets are developed and expanded.
Q3. Will the solicitation’s offer due date/local time be extended?
A3. Yes. The offer due date/local time will be extended:
FROM: 12:00PM, 13 May 2016
TO: 12:00PM, 18 May 2016
