Executive Summary
Background:
The US Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) has the need to procure a wide variety of GLOCK weapon systems, spare parts, and accessories to support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), and its components mission objectives, and other Government Agency mission objectives. The weapon systems include GLOCK 17, 18, 19 (including GLOCK 19 Made in the
USA for Export), 22, 26, 30S. Spare parts include replacement factory GLOCK magazines, and Concurrent Spare Parts (CSP) kits for the above referenced models as well as individual parts for repair and sustainment. Accessories may include holsters (for duty use or concealed carry), and other add-on options not included with the commercially available as-is system (See Individual Spare Parts CLINS).
Weapon system requirements may be for Gen 3 or Gen 4 variants from GLOCK, and the requirement will be specified on an order by order basis.
Acquisition Approach:
The acquisition approach is to compete this requirement to all sources capable of supplying GLOCK systems. While distributors may compete for the requirement, all systems, spare parts (Concurrent Spare Parts & Individual Spares), and magazines (ie. all deliverables) are to originate from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Brand Name. The Government intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The contract will be for five (5) years (five (5) one (1) year ordering periods). As future needs are identified during the contract performance, orders will be executed to support. Due to unknown final destinations, the transportation terms will be identified on an order by order basis. Transportation
Accounting Codes (TAC) will be furnished to bill against at that time.
Note: Acquisitions for Commercial Items under FAR Part 12 do not use the Uniform Contract Format (UCF).
