About this file

This is a Vendor Affidavit regarding the Use of Coercion for Labor and Services required by Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in Florida for the Diplomas contract opportunity. The affidavit is mandated by Section 787.06(13) of the Florida Statutes and must be completed and signed by an authorized officer or representative of any nongovernmental contractor executing, renewing, or extending a contract with HCPS. The document serves as a certification under penalty of perjury that the contractor does not engage in human trafficking or labor coercion practices.

By signing the affidavit, the authorized contractor representative certifies compliance with Florida law by confirming the company does not use or threaten physical force, restrain or confine persons without lawful authority, exploit debt bondage arrangements, confiscate identification documents, cause financial harm, engage in fraud or deceit for exploitation purposes, or provide controlled substances for exploitation. This affidavit is a prerequisite compliance document required prior to contract award and must be submitted as part of the bidding process for HCPS procurement opportunities.
