a) The contractor will provide emission data within their proposal that the natural gas fired equipment offered will meet the 30 PPM NOx emission limit. This is preferable to certification of NOx emissions from combustion equipment after installation since this will incur additional source test costs on the user as opposed to equipment that already has demonstrated emission compliance.

b) Provide name of at least one customer that is using this natural gas fired gas equipment for the ironer in SCAQMD district or alternatively in BAAQMD (San Francisco area) has met 30 PPM NOx limit.

c) Provide manufacturer name and model of non-alterable gas flow meter proposed for installation – example thermal mass or vortex shedding flow meter from a manufacturer such as Sage Metering, Inc. or Fox Thermal Instruments that are used at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.

d) The contractor is responsible for preparation, submission, and approval of all South Coast Air Quality Management District permit application for new equipment including Title V review that is required anytime there is change in permitted equipment.

e) Before the 110/120LB. dryers can be operated, non-resettable natural gas flow meters need to be installed on fuel line of the ironer.

f) If applicable to the dryers offered, the 110/120 LB. dryers will need to have a full source test by independent third party source tester within 180 days of operation. The source testing company that West LA boiler house uses is EES (Energy Environmental Solutions) can perform the required source test which is similar to one used on the central hot water heaters. http://www.sourcetester.com/contact.php.
