About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award from the Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to furnish and deliver two three-yard pickup dump trucks. The procurement process received four bids that were evaluated for responsiveness based on responses to all questions, evaluation criteria, and requirements outlined in the ITB. LBPUD intends to award the contract to Santa Margarita Ford, ranked first among qualified bidders. Custom Truck One Sources ranked second, while Nassau Trading Inc and One Nation Distribution LLC were disqualified. The evaluation prioritized factors beyond price, allowing LBPUD to make an award in its best interests. No specific response dates, due dates, site visits, or bidder's meetings are referenced in this notice.

The document does not contain information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent vendors, funding sources, or contract amounts. The notice explicitly states that this Notice of Intent to Award does not constitute a final award, and the awarded vendor will receive a formal contract from LBPUD before any purchases commence. Bids were kept confidential until the award determination was made.
