Re: Scope of Services for the AZ State Veterans’ Home Drainage Mitigation

Dear Brandon, J2 Engineering and Environmental Design, LLC (J2) is pleased to provide professional design services for the

Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) AZ State Veterans’ Home drainage mitigation project. This scope of services and fees are based upon our understanding of the project from our discussions with ADOA staff and our site visit on August 21, 2025. J2 will serve as a prime consultant for the project providing civil engineering design services.

Project Understanding: The existing veterans’ home complex floods in the center courtyard area. J2 will evaluate the area based on topographic survey and mitigate the drainage flooding. The approach is to evaluate the flooding issue and J2 will propose initial conceptual options. Once the options are vetted, J2 will develop the design to final construction documents. Our estimated Lump Sum fees are as follows (see attached fee sheet for breakdown):

Design & Post Design Services:

J2 Design: $14,170.00

CRS (Survey): $ 6,680.00

Design Allowance: $ 3,000.00

Project Total: $23,850.00

Thank you for the opportunity to provide professional services on this exciting project and serve the ADOA.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely, Jason Touchin, PE
