About this file

This statement of work outlines requirements for the inspection, overhaul, and repair of refrigeration compressor units for the U.S. Coast Guard. Key requirements include performing a breakdown, disassembly, and inspection of each compressor unit according to the OEM's technical manual to determine the extent of necessary repairs. Contractors must provide a detailed estimate for all material, labor, testing, preservation, packaging, and marking costs, as well as the replacement cost of each unit. Inspection reports must be submitted for approval prior to authorization of repair work. Repairs are to be conducted per OEM recommended overhaul procedures. Shipping containers must be manufactured if necessary and marked with identifying information including NSN, part name and number, and contract number. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Homeland Security Coast Guard for refrigeration compressor units.
