About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the overhaul of an Air Compressor Unit for the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center. The document details comprehensive requirements for receiving, disassembling, inspecting, testing, repairing, and repackaging a Sauer Compressor start-air compressor assembly (Mistral Series Model WP65L), specifically with National Stock Number 4310-01-549-7882 and Part Number 086080, used on vessel WMSL-419.
Key requirements include using only new original Sauer parts for replacement, conducting thorough performance tests, painting the compressor in Machinery Grey, and providing detailed certification documentation. The contractor must submit an Open Inspect Report within 10 days of receiving the compressor, detailing its condition with photographs. The overhauled compressor must be returned to like-new condition, packaged in a wooden container meeting specific ASTM standards, and include a warranty. The Coast Guard will perform final acceptance at destination, verifying no transit damage and compliance with preservation and packaging requirements.
