About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement and delivery of a replacement air compressor system for the ISAAC (multifunctional robotic system for composites manufacturing research) facility at NASA's Langley Research Center.

The replacement air compressor must meet specific technical specifications including a minimum sustained pressure of 180 psi, minimum flow rate of 25-35 cfm at working pressure, and nominal power output of 10 horsepower. The unit must accept three-phase power, be air-cooled, and include both an air dryer system and a condensate filtering system. A critical constraint is that the compressor and all attachments must fit within the available footprint of 58" L x 63" H x 30" W in Building 1232A at Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA. The delivery deadline is no later than July 10, 2026.

STATEMENT OF WORK: ISAAC FACILITY AIR COMPRESSOR

1. Objective/Requirements

ISAAC is a multifunctional robotic system for composites manufacturing research which requires a dedicated high pressure air compressor to complete system component movements. The current air compressor has reached end of life and must be replaced by a new air compressor.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The replacement compressor must meet the following specifications:

Provide a minimum sustained pressure of 180 psi Provide a minimum flow rate of 25-35 cfm at working pressure Have a nominal power output of 10 horsepower Accept three-phase power Shall be air-cooled Shall include an air dryer system Shall include a condensate filtering system The compressor and all attachments must fit in the available footprint at the building that houses the ISAAC facility (58” L x 63” H x 30” W)

3. Place of Performance

Langley Research Center, Building 1232A, Hampton, VA

4. Period of Performance

Delivery of air compressor required no later than July 10, 2026
