STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Description of Equipment Requested:
Updating the current mobile workstations to include a 2nd CO2 securely attached to the cart. The mobile workstation used during endoscopy procedures needs to be double wide width with working top tray as well as additional adjustable shelf space. It needs to support associated equipment without cluttering the clinical work environment. Additional CO2 holders for added safety.
2. How Equipment Works:
Storage and use of endoscopy equipment for GI and Bronchoscopy procedures.
3. Who Will Use This Equipment:
The mobile workstations will be used by endoscopy staff and physicians.
4. Where it will be used:
The mobile workstations will be used in the GI and Bronchoscopy endoscopy rooms.
5. Justification:
The CO2 cylinders are constantly getting knocked over because they are kept in a separate upright bottle holder that is unstable. When staff move the endoscopy carts, the CO2 cylinders frequently tip over due to the connection hose rigidity and short length. The new carts come with a bottle holder that is securely attached to the cart which will eliminate the risk completely. Mobile workstation will also need optimized cable management with the workstation hoop to provide easy access without additional clutter.
6. Privacy & Confidentiality statement:
• In reference to VHA Handbook 6500.6 Appendix A, Block 6, the equipment included in this contractor does or does not involve connection of IT devices to a VA network. Therefore, C&A, SAP, & the following from App C apply.
