About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the renewal of bulkhead seals on the NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler. The SOW describes the requirements to install two new, government-furnished bulkhead seals on the port and starboard propulsion shaftlines of the vessel. The period of performance is between July 21-24, 2024, and the work is to be performed at the ship's location in Norfolk, VA. The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing seals, installing the new seals, and facilitating any necessary inspections or testing. The contractor must also submit a condition report and final service report. The SOW references a related federal contract opportunity, solicitation number 1333MK24Q0068, which is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the bulkhead seal replacement. The RFQ is a small business set-aside, with a period of performance from June 10 to August 31, 2024, and a requested start date of July 21-24, 2024. The government will award a firm-fixed-price contract based on best value, considering availability, experience/past performance, and price.
