Statement of Work
I. Introduction
This Statement of Work (SOW) is issued in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the acquisition of commercial items. The purpose is to procure a total of two (2) brand name STERIS HarmonyAIR ALYON surgical lights to support the operations of the following two (2) departments at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Tacoma, WA: Department of ENT-Otolaryngology and Department of Family Medicine. The contractor shall supply all items, services, delivery, installation, and de-installation functions necessary to meet the requirements described herein, in accordance with standard commercial practices.
Background:
The Department of ENT-Otolaryngology and the Department of Family Medicine require surgical lights to have a clear view of the patient and the patient’s body while performing medical procedures. Providers must be able to see clearly while performing procedures and need lights that will not cause shadows that impede their view of the patient and the procedure. The bulbs in the existing surgical lights are burned out, but they cannot be replaced because the equipment is past the end of its lifecycle, and the vendor no longer makes the existing model of lights.
