Background and Historical Usage Information:

PARAGRAPH REVISED PER AMENDMENT 01

DHEWD has utilized the ACT WorkKeys products since 2004 to meet their National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) initiative. For the past twenty-two (22) years, through the Missouri Job Centers, the Office of Workforce Development (OWD) has provided this resource statewide to employers and job seekers to measure skills that are essential to succeed in the workplace. These assessments demonstrate the job seekers’ strengths and weaknesses and provide a valid way to show job seekers abilities to employers. Missouri currently has 112 counties participating in this initiative with 99 counties having received certification. In 2025 the number of physical locations where assessments were administered totaled: thirty-five (35) OWD physical locations, five (5) two-year college physical locations, and zero (0) Missouri Workforce Development Boards physical locations. In 2025 the number of physical locations where curriculum was used totaled: twenty-five (25) OWD physical locations, two (2) two-year college physical locations, and zero (0) Missouri Workforce Development Boards physical locations.
