About this file

This document is a Sole Source Justification for the renewal of the National Agricultural Library's (NAL) annual institutional membership in the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). The anticipated period of performance is from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, with no option years included. A Sources Sought notice was posted, but no responses were received, as ARL is considered a unique industry organization. The justification cites that ARL is a nonprofit organization of 125 research libraries that provides member-exclusive publications, reports, training services, and membership meetings. NAL has been an institutional member for the past 10 years, during which the membership price has remained relatively unchanged. The Contracting Activity intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to ARL in accordance with FAR 13.501 and 41 USC 3304(a)(1), as the service is only available from one responsible source.
