About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation for a hydraulic cylinder (NSN 1650-00-317-5561). The solicitation seeks 18 hydraulic cylinders, with potential quantities ranging from 14 to 45 units, manufactured by an approved source. The RFQ is split into two bid sets: Bid Set A for new manufactured materiel and Bid Set B for new/unused government surplus materiel. Vendors must provide a firm fixed price for different quantity ranges, with the cylinders being aluminum alloy/steel construction and designed to maintain pressure in a hydraulic reservoir.

The solicitation includes specific requirements for surplus material dealers, such as providing documentation of U.S. government ownership, original packaging, and photographs demonstrating compliance with various conditions. The cylinders are to be delivered to DLA Distribution Depot Hill in Utah by 20 August 2026, with inspection and acceptance to be conducted at origin. The NAICS code is 336413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. Quotations are due by 12 May 2025, and offerors must hold their pricing firm for 120 days. Early or partial delivery is acceptable, and both new and surplus materials will be considered.
