About this file

This document is a Specific Terms and Conditions file for a state procurement opportunity utilizing the Alabamabuys supplier portal. The solicitation involves the procurement of new, unused equipment, specifically a microscope and camera system, with bidders required to submit electronic bids through the portal, including unit prices and supplier part numbers. Suppliers must provide complete descriptive/technical literature with their bid, and all items must be delivered within 60 days of the purchase order receipt. The bid submission deadline requires vendors to submit questions through the portal's Discussions tab by 4/24/2025, and the award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications.

The bid includes specific requirements regarding pricing, warranty, and documentation. Freight charges must be included in bid prices, and the equipment must be F.O.B. destination. The microscope and camera system must have a minimum one-year warranty for parts and service. Vendors are required to respond to any additional information requests within five days of receipt, with failure to do so resulting in bid rejection. The solicitation allows for alternative equipment offerings, provided they meet the specified quality standards and are accompanied by comprehensive technical documentation for evaluation.
