What is the size of the storage unit that is housing the silks and holiday items currently?
General
The current contractor has a large warehouse to store multiple client decorations.
The area for our decorations is about 600 sf.
What type of Christmas trees do you own? Are easy plug (which means each pat connects to the next and automatically lights up)? Do they have LED attached lighting?

The holiday trees are 2 piece, LED pre-lit, pre-decorated. The outlet plug lights the whole tree.
The moss on the silks and rotational faux plants is very old, brittle and not enough to cover Styrofoam. May we include a replacement cost as a line item?

Looking to have moss addressed with current contractor before contract end. If not, it can be on the pre-existing deficiency list after contract award.
When will we be allowed access to see Holiday decor?
General
After award during transfer of holiday decorations from current contractor to awarded contractor.
Who is the current contract holder?
General Rolling Greens.
Are the holiday décor items boxed and labeled in a way that indicates their contents and install locations?
General
Yes.
7 Are all items listed as ‘lit’ LED? General Yes.
In the event that lights do not function at the time of installation, is the contractor responsible for providing and installing after-market lights on the day of installation or should they items be installed unlit?
General
If lights do not function at the time of installation, the contractor should make an attempt to correct the issue then. If lights need replacing, they should be replaced before the tree lighting ceremony.
What is the approximate age (in years) of the majority of the current holiday décor?
General 8 years.

Railing garland is attached by wire.
Will anything need to be hung with adhesives (command strips)?
C.10 2 small wreaths on glass doors in the Director’s suite.
Aside from the 14’ tree, are there any items that would require a ladder taller than 10’ to install?
General
No.
Does the customer provide the LED lights for the exterior tree lighting?
General LED lights for exterior trees are included with holiday decorations.
Please list the decorations that need to be provided by the contractor.
C11.2 There should not be a need for contractor provided decorations.
What décor is needed for the awning? Is the wreaths on the columns?
C11.2 No décor needed for awning. Column wreaths are hung by wire.
What décor goes in all the elevator lobbies and how many are there?
C11.2 2 nutcracker statues each in 3 elevator lobbies.
What décor goes in all the first floor entrances and how many are there? (is this the Kiosk décor)

18 Who is responsible for the cost of the replacement decorations?

After award, there will be a joint inspection of the decorations to create a pre-existing deficiency list with pricing for replacement.
After replacement the contractor is responsible for cost of replacement.
What is the current frequency of plant service (watering), 1xweek? Every other week?

Previous service was every 10 days. Current service is every 2 weeks. Contractor shall establish frequency to prevent the need to replace plants at their cost.

Do all existing plants at the time of the walkthrough meet the standards as stated in the Performance Work Statement?
General
Yes, there may be a couple that need replaced prior to new contract start.
Do all existing containers at the time of the walkthrough meet the standards as stated in the Performance Work Statement?
General
Yes.
Can the Performance Work Statement be amended so that the contractor is only responsiblefor replacing a damaged container in the event that the contractor causes the damage? If agovernment employee or other 3rd party damages a container, the contractor should not beresponsible for paying for the replacement

There has not been an issue where a container needed to be replaced.
Contractor is responsible for container replacement for damage they cause. See C8.4 for General Statement.
Are there any restrictions on performing maintenance as it relates to hours of the day or daysof the week?
General
Live plant maintenance should be done between 0700 and 1600. Flower rotations are done on the weekends. Current contractor choses to do installations on holidays.
The Performance Work Statement indicates (6) flower plants to be rotated monthly.
During the walkthrough, the rotational plants were not flowers. They were foliage. Please clarify the expectation or provide a list/schedule of what is currently being rotated and is acceptable.

The desk rotations can be flowers or foliage if they have a colorful and vibrant appearance.
27 Do the rotations ever consist of poinsettias?

What is the approximate age (in years) of the silk rotational plants?
General The silk flower rotations and permanent replica plants are 5 years old.
Do all existing rotational silk plants at the time of the walkthrough (or during their last rotation) meet the standards as stated in the Performance Work Statement?
General
Yes.
Does the government certify that the existing permanent (non-rotational) silk plants are of acceptable quality and will not need replacement for the life of the contract term if they are appropriately maintained by the contractor throughout the contract term?
General
Yes.
Does the storage space need to be climate controlled?
General
It would benefit the contractor to store the rotations and holiday decorations in a climate controlled environment to reduce the possibility of replacement at the contractor’s cost.
What is the approximate cubic footage of the items that need to be stored? – i.e. could they fit in a 10’x10’ unit, a 10’x20’unit?
General
The current contractor uses an estimated 600 sf for storage.
