AMENDMENT 0002

Amendment 0002 is hereby incorporated into Solicitation SP3300-21-Q-0042 and shall become part of any purchase order issued.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

1. Provide a revised Attachment 1 – Statement of Work (SOW)

2. Provide a revised Attachment 3 – Schedule of Supplies

3. Extend the due date for the submission of quotations from 12 April 2021 to 19 April 2021 at 1:00 PM EST

4. Provided answers to contractor questions.

Questions/Answers

Question #1: In order to meet required capacities, would the government accept a design of face-to-face towers of trays with each tray having a capacity of 5,000 pounds minimum?

Answer #1: The required capacity is 6,600 lbs. per SOW paragraph 3.2.2.6. The reason for this requirement is we want to store the maximum amount of material in each tray compartment so we do not have multiple locations per NIN. The number of trays is only 31 and the requirements in the future may grow.

Question #2: What are the weight and dimensions of the heaviest rod/bar that is to be stored?

Answer #2: That would be 6 in. round stock remnants that are 96.22 pounds per foot/ 1156 lbs.

per 12 ft section and 1924 lbs. per 20 ft. section.

Question #3: Will the government clear some of the racking that is currently blocking access to the existing electrical distribution panel?

Answer #3: Yes. That work is being done through an existing contract for the Cantilever Rack Project.

Question #4: Is the pigeon hole rack bolted or welded?

Answer #4: Yes. It is located in Bldg. 163. This was borrowed so it will be given back to the Navy after the shuttle storage system is built.

Question #5: Will the contractor be required to provide dumpsters for the removal of the pigeon racking?

Answer #5: The contractor will only be required to provide a dumpster for waste generated by the shuttle installation. Removal of the pigeonhole racking in Bldg. 163 is not required by this contract. The last sentence in SOW paragraph 1.2 is removed.

Question #6: How important is the 270-day lead time to complete this project?

SP3300-21-Q-0042

AMENDMENT 0002

Answer #6: Based on rewarehouseing requirements, the period of performance is changed to 365 days after date of contract. Refer to revised SOW paragraph 1.4.

Question #7: Would it be possible to extend the due date by a minimal of 2 weeks?

Answer #7: The due date for the submission of quotations is extended from 12 April 2021 to 19 April 2021 at 1:00 PM EST.

Question #8: Is dual tray delivery required?

Answer #8: No. The requirement for dual tray delivery has been deleted.

Question #9: Is sliding monitor console required?

Answer #9: No. The requirement has been deleted.

Question #10: Are sheet metal panels required or can a safety wire partition fence be used instead?

Answer #10: The requirement has been changed to safety wire partition fencing. Refer to revised SOW paragraph 3.2.2.9.

Question #11: Under this contract, is the contractor responsible for demoing only the racks in red on the ‘DDJF rack demo plan’ drawing? Will the racks be empty, or will the contractor be responsible to dispose of both the racks and the material in them?

Answer #11: No. The rack demolition will be done under a separate contract. Drawing 21-3-4 is just a representation of existing conditions.

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
