STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR BATTERIES

PURPOSE

DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania (DDSP), located in New Cumberland, PA, receives, stores, and ships materiel in support of America’s Armed Forces around the clock, around the world. Facilities and equipment maintenance services in support of DDSP are performed by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Installation Support at Susquehanna (DS-FSA).

In performance of these maintenance services, DS-FSA is required to replace batteries. These batteries, as detailed in the Schedule of Supplies/Services, have been identified as critical to DDSP’s maintenance services support. Therefore, DS-FSA would like to establish a one-year contract with fixed unit prices and an estimated ceiling price for a contractor to provide battery inventory level replenishment.

SCOPE OF WORK

The quantities specified in the Schedule of Supplies/Services represent the Government’s best estimate for the number of batteries that may be required during the period of performance of this contract. The Contractor shall only be paid for the actual quantities of batteries delivered to the Government under this contract.

Within one (1) week after contract award, the Contractor shall schedule a meeting with the Government Point of Contact (POC) to review DS-FSA’s current battery inventory levels and historical usage. Based on DS-FSA’s needs and the review analysis, the Contractor shall establish a process for battery inventory level replenishment that may require the Contractor to be on-site monthly.

When the Contractor delivers batteries under any contract line item (CLIN), the Government anticipates that cores will be available for pickup by the Contractor.

The Contractor shall provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) with each battery delivered.

The Contractor shall, on a monthly basis, submit an invoice in Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) for the batteries delivered to DS-FSA during the previous month.

The Contractor shall include all costs associated with handling and delivery in the battery unit prices.

The Contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws concerning the transportation and disposal of batteries.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The period of performance for this contract shall be from the date of contract award through one year.
