OFFICER TRAINING SIMULATOR
STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Purpose: The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to outline the requirements and specifications for the development and implementation of the Officer Training Simulator. This simulator is intended to provide realistic and immersive training scenarios for law enforcement officers to enhance their skills, decision-making abilities, and situational awareness.
2. Scope: The scope of this project includes the design, development, testing, and deployment of a state-of-the-art officer training simulator. The simulator should feature a range of scenarios that simulate real-life situations officers may encounter, including but not limited to:
Active shooter incidents Hostage situations Traffic stops De-escalation techniques Use-of-force scenarios Crisis intervention
The simulator should be adaptable to various environments (urban, suburban, rural) and include diverse scenarios to reflect the demographics and challenges faced by officers in different jurisdictions.
3. Deliverables: The following deliverables are expected as part of this project:
Design documentation including system architecture, user interface mockups, and scenario descriptions.
Development of the simulator software, ensuring realism, accuracy, and reliability.
Integration of hardware components (e.g., firearms simulators, VR headsets) as required.
Testing and validation to ensure the simulator meets performance and accuracy standards.
User manuals and training materials for administrators and trainees.
Deployment support including installation, configuration, and initial training sessions.
4. Requirements: The Officer Training Simulator must meet the following technical and functional requirements:
Realistic physics and graphics to create an immersive training environment.
Scenario customization capabilities to allow for scenario creation and modification.
Data analytics and reporting features to track trainee performance and progress.
Support for various input devices including VR headsets, firearms simulators, and other peripherals.
5. Acceptance Criteria: The Officer Training Simulator will be deemed acceptable when it meets the following criteria:
All specified scenarios are implemented and functioning as intended.
The simulator demonstrates realistic and accurate responses to trainee actions.
Performance metrics meet or exceed defined standards.
Administrators and trainees successfully complete training on simulator operation and scenario management.
