Statement of Work Standby electrical generator replacement

June 2022

SCOPE

This project requires removal of the current Kohler generator and the installation of a new Cummins Power Generator (Diesel 60Hz, 600Kw).

1. REQUIREMENTS:

1.1. A site survey is required prior to commencement of installation for vendor to confirm specifications.

1.2. Contractor shall provide licensed and certified technician to accomplish all tasks and work to be performed.

1.3. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, personnel, tools, equipment, and parts to complete the project.

1.4. Contractor shall provide all labor and equipment in relation to crane operation for raising and lowering the old and new generators. The crane must be able to lift both generators over a retaining wall. The wall is approximately 14 feet high and 24 feet from the access road. The generator is approximately 13-foot tall, the crane must be able to lift the generator a minimum of 30 feet.

1.5. Contractor shall take precaution as to not damage surrounding vegetation and trees.

1.6. Contractor shall provide all labor and tools necessary to remove diesel fuel from the existing generator before lifting via crane. Contractor will store fuel until new generator is installed and then transfer said fuel to the new generator.

1.7. Contractor shall provide all manpower and vehicles to transport old generator to designated location.

1.8. Contractor shall provide all manpower and tools to wire a 120-volt outlet at the new generator.

2. PROJECTED INTALLATION & SCHEDULE:

2.1. Installation: The installation shall not last more than five (5) calendar days from start of the project. The contractor shall remove & dispose of packing material. Working hours shall be 7:00AM – 4:30PM, and shall take place within a standard Mon - Fri workweek.

2.2. Schedule: The contractor representative shall schedule a meeting with the Contracting Officer & Customer to review the installation schedule prior to removal & installation of the generator. The contractor shall leave the area clean and free of all debris resulting from this installation. Before commencing work, the installation crew shall notify the Contracting Officer of the proposed schedule for approval. Additionally, the installation crew will bring the equipment/tools necessary to complete the job and will clean up at the end of each day and before leaving the designated job location.

2.3. A post-installation walkthrough for this project shall be coordinated with the contractor’s authorized representative, Government Acceptor, and a Cummins technician to certify the warranty. If any discrepancies are found the contractor shall be corrected within 24 hours.

3. BASE/INSTALLATION SPECIFICS:

3.1. All commercial trucks must enter through the Commercial Gate on Cody Ave off Independence Road, Fort Walton Beach, FL for inspection. Prior to going through the Commercial Gate, contractor will have to obtain a visitors pass from the Visitors Center located off HWY 98. In accordance with the Installation 1st SOSFS Visitor Control Center, base entry procedures must adhere to delivery vehicle process requirements mandated by the 1st SOSFS. Vehicles are subject to inspection. To obtain a base pass from the Visitors Center, the driver will require:

A current Vehicle Registration

A current Proof of Insurance

A valid and current Driver's License for the driver

A valid and current Driver's License or other State Identification for any passenger(s) in the vehicle.

A Base Pass Letter from the Contracting Officer with the contract number, and individuals requiring base access. The base pass request must be submitted to the Contracting Officer at least 10 days prior to scheduled delivery and include the names and driver’s license number of each individual requiring base access. The request shall also include the anticipated installation timeframe for this project.

3.2. Gate Procedures:

Once at Cody Ave. Gate, be prepared to exit the vehicle and allow for vehicle inspection. At this time you may ask for directions to your final destination.

If the final destination requires the driver to leave Cody Ave. Gate, and re-enter the base through an alternate gate, the pass received will be sufficient documentation for entry into both gates, within a pre-established time directed by the Security Forces representative.

Arrival at the appropriate gate after the designated allotted time will result in non-admittance to the installation.

This procedure will occur each time a commercial truck requests access to the base.

3.3. Current Bill of Lading (BOL) to get delivery driver and the vehicle on base. BOL must include the AF installation name, date of anticipated delivery, and specific destination (including building number, street address, and point of contact information).

3.4. Personnel should the following items when entering an installation:

Current Registration for all vehicles

Current Proof of Insurance for all vehicles

Valid driver’s license for each driver

Valid driver’s license or other state identification for each passenger

Depending on the current Force Protection Condition, a government representative may be required to sponsor those people in person at Pass & ID/Visitors Center.

3.5. Prohibitions: Firearms may not be brought on base under any circumstances. Individuals with criminal records are not allowed on base. Contractor personnel are prohibited from sponsoring guests onto the installation.

4. WARRANTY: All products/services performed by contractor shall include at least one (1) year installation warranty on all workmanship from the date of project completion. The warranty must cover any defects in the installation or craftsmanship portion of the project. Details include:

Warranty parts repair/replacement On-site service/response On-site & remote (phone) support

5. MEASURING, CONVERSION AND GUARANTEE: It shall be the complete responsibility of the contractor to obtain accurate dimensions at the job site and to examine all conditions as they relate to this installation.

Skilled technicians shall perform the installation. All work shall be accomplished in a neat and professional manner.
