About this file
This sources sought notice requests information from vendors able to provide non-personal services to concurrently document zooplankton and fish communities in littoral and pelagic habitats within the Sacramento Deep Water Ship Channel. The Bureau of Reclamation seeks a contractor to sample communities during the day and night using methods that minimize fish handling and allow for continuity across habitat types. The sampling must utilize the same gear in pelagic and littoral zones. The selected vendor must obtain all necessary collection permits including take coverage for Delta Smelt and winter run Chinook salmon. Responses are due by December 29, 2020 to the Bureau of Reclamation contact Sarah Anaya. Interested firms must demonstrate their ability to meet requirements for sampling methodologies that are benign, minimize handling of fish such as Delta Smelt, and utilize consistent gear across habitats.
