HYATTVILLE LOGGING ROAD PROJECT

HYATTVILLE, WYOMING

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for resurfacing a logging road on BLM-managed land in Hyattville, Wyoming. The contract includes furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, to manufacture wearing surface course material on native surface roads with mobile rock processing equipment. The work includes: ripping, reshaping the roadway, reducing bedrock and oversized rock to a one and one half (1-1/2) inch gradation; watering, mixing, compacting, blading and shaping the manufactured cushion material into a smooth, non-segregated road surface. Also, removing 504 cubic yards of sandy material on section of roadway and placing geo-fabric, geo-cell, and aggregate to rebuild that roadway section. The project requirements include all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, and incidentals necessary for project completion as per the accompanying specifications and maps.

The estimated project magnitude of construction is $1,000,000.00 – $5,000,000.00.

This Sources Sought (SS) is intended as a means of conducting market research, which will help determine the best method for the anticipated solicitation and subsequent award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this requirement is 237310, “Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction”. The small business size standard is $39.5 million. FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, will apply wherein at least 15 percent of the work must be performed by the small business prime contractor and similarly situated small business subcontractors.
