About this file
This is a Procurement Exemption Notice issued by Pierce County Planning and Public Works Department in Washington State for the direct purchase of PipePatch materials. The County intends to procure PipePatch from Gordon and Associates through a sole source procurement exemption to repair existing pipes at the County's Wastewater Treatment Plant. The procurement exemption is valid for 24 months. Any entity believing it meets the identified minimum requirements must submit a capability statement via the OpenGov platform. The primary minimum requirement is authorization by the original equipment manufacturer (Source One Environmental LLC) to sell PipePatch materials or the ability to sell necessary parts and replacement components of matching specifications. Questions and capability statement submissions should be directed to Andrew Robson at Pierce County Finance Department via the OpenGov platform, email at Andrew.robson@piercecountywa.gov, or phone at (253) 798-7456.
The estimated total cost of purchases over the 24-month procurement exemption period is $500,000.00. Pierce County has determined that PipePatch is the only suitable material for the required pipe repairs at its Wastewater Treatment Plant, justifying the sole source procurement exemption. The notice does not specify response deadlines, award dates, or other procedural timelines beyond the 24-month validity period of the exemption.
