PHYSICIAN ONLY JOB BOARD CAREER LINK SERVICE FOR PHOENIX AREA IHS

A.1 INTRODUCTION:

A. The IHS Phoenix Area Office has consistently struggled with a high rate of vacancies with medical providers in their facilities, currently, the Phoenix Region has 20% physician vacancies with majority of them being in leadership, specialty and Family Practice field. At this time, the Phoenix Region has posted the vacancy announcements by location and specialty to give a better online presence;

however; this has produced a very limited amount of qualified candidates applying for these positions. With so many vacancies still in the region, this critically impacts access for patients seeking care and results in a low quality of care to patients served.
