About this file

This justification document provides details for a sole source solicitation from the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime for pressure sensitive tape. The solicitation seeks to award a contract on a sole source basis to the incumbent supplier due to a lack of other qualified sources and the prohibitive costs of qualifying additional suppliers. Only pressure sensitive tapes meeting stringent qualification requirements and manufactured using specialized adhesive formulations are acceptable to meet the agency's needs. The solicitation number is SPMYM224Q0186 and proposals are due by April 15, 2024, with contract award anticipated by June 1, 2024. The justification cites the incumbent's extensive experience and qualifications as well as significant costs involved in qualifying alternative suppliers as rationale for the sole source award.
