About this file

This document is a Request for SDVOSB/VOSB Sole Source Justification for home oxygen and ventilator services for the VA Augusta Health Care System. The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks to award a 3-month bridge contract to Hometown Veterans Medical, LLC to prevent a break in services, with performance from September 1, 2025 to November 30, 2025. The contract covers multiple line items including oxygen concentrator rentals, cylinder rentals, liquid oxygen services, ventilator equipment, and related medical support services.

The justification highlights that the current home oxygen contract is expiring, and the new long-term contract is pending review. Market research identified 125 service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) and veteran-owned small businesses (VOSBs) capable of providing the service. The sole source justification is based on the need to ensure continuous patient care, prevent service interruption, and leverage the incumbent's proven track record of providing home oxygen services to VA beneficiaries. The total contract period is 3 months, with pricing details redacted in the document.
