Questions and Answers
1) Do you or do you not want this drum crushing device with spill holding tank included?
Yes, we need the system to include the spill holding tank since we´re feeding the furnace with drums filled with liquids.
2) Something we really don’t understand is why the solicitation lists the liquid injection equipment as optional, whilst 90% of the waste is liquid. Was this an error?
We need to elaborate a little bit more on this topic: Since we´re feeding the furnace"FULL DRUMS" the system will not need liquid injection equipment. What we need is a system that loads liquid and solids via DRUMS and/or BAGS for solid materials.
3) The solicitation mentions "The incinerator shall be capable of incinerating all gases to completely combusted, with the air stream cooled and cleaned.”
Please clarify what is meant by cooled and cleaned.
To what temperature must the gases be cooled?
Was it your intent to include a heat exchanger and APC (air pollution control) scrubbing system with this package?
Note that the HX and APC will increase the price by 3X.
We do not require an HX or APC, we need an exhaust system capable of cooling the emissions to a reasonable temperature.
4) Can you clarify what is meant by EPA or similar emission standards? EPA have 100’s of emission regulations. IS it up to the supplier to cherry pick one or the other from EPA archives? Or may we site standards such as “World Bank” emission standards?
WE know that EPA emission standards are too many, but what we are looking for is that the system meets international regulations, if World Bank emission standards are met this will provide the expectations we have.
