The project addresses recurring raccoon activity across multiple areas of the golf course, including holes 11, 16, 18 tee boxes, holes 11 and 17 green areas, and adjacent mangrove zones where raccoons enter and exit. The vendor must conduct an initial on-site inspection to verify activity and identify access points, implement humane trapping and removal operations with minimum daily trap checks, and obtain signed removal tickets from authorized Crandon Golf personnel. The estimated raccoon population is approximately 30 to 40 animals, though this figure is provided for reference only and is not guaranteed. The contract includes a recurring service option with pricing valid for 12 months to accommodate as-needed removals throughout the fiscal year.

The vendor must comply with Florida Administrative Code Rule 68A-9.010(1) regarding nuisance wildlife handling, relocation, and disposal, and adhere to all Miami-Dade County environmental guidance and Florida wildlife laws. Required deliverables include daily trap check logs, signed removal tickets, and a summary report documenting the number of raccoons removed, dates, locations, and recommendations for preventing future activity. Any nontarget animals captured must be immediately released at the site of capture. All work must protect staff, park patrons, wildlife, and sensitive ecosystems, particularly mangrove areas. The contract specifies that work must not disturb protected areas and must maintain compliance with environmental protection standards throughout the service delivery period.
