About this file
This Scope of Work document is for New Mexico State University (NMSU), seeking a computer software terminal system for the College of Business. The system is designed to provide comprehensive data and networking capabilities for students across multiple disciplines including Economics, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, and Supply Chain. The requested terminal should offer extensive features for economists and finance professionals, including economic forecasts, central bank analysis, market data, news research, and a built-in GPT module for financial text analysis. Additionally, the system aims to enhance educational outcomes by attracting students, bridging theory and practice, and improving student placement opportunities.
The document emphasizes strict data privacy and security requirements, including compliance with FERPA and other federal privacy regulations. The vendor must ensure data is stored exclusively in U.S. territory, maintain confidentiality standards equivalent to protecting their own sensitive information, and provide access to security audit reports like SAS 70 (SOC2) Type II or SOC3. The system should enable worldwide student networking, provide current event information, and offer a certificate to enhance student credentials. Key technical requirements include protecting electronically maintained data, extending security measures to subcontractors, and developing a clear data retention and return strategy upon contract termination.
