About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the procurement of vibration isolation equipment for NASA Ames Research Center. The contract requires the delivery of four Minus K Model 325CM1-CV vibration isolation platforms with 325-pound load capacity, specifically modified for operation in vacuum environments. These platforms will support the Ames Coronagraph Testbed (ACT) optomechanical bench used in astrophysics experiments. The vacuum modifications include stripping anodizing and paint, powder coating, metal gears and worm specifications, electroless nickel plating of steel parts, tilt flexure treatment, vented standard leveling feet with stainless hardware, passivation of heat-treated parts, vacuum dampening using ISD 242NR02, Braycote grease application, and comprehensive cleaning of all components.

Work will be performed off-site at the vendor's facility with delivery to NASA Ames, with an estimated performance period of 12 to 16 weeks from contract award. The Vendor Point of Contact is Patrick O. Brenckle at (941) 445-4721 or patrick@osullivancomputer.com, and the Ames Technical Point of Contact is Kevin Sims at (650) 430-6128 or kevin.sims@nasa.gov.
