About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the acquisition of digital image correlation (DIC) hardware and infrared (IR) add-on software for NASA Langley Research Center's Materials and Structures Laboratories.
The contractor shall provide an integrated DIC system with IR capabilities compatible with existing VIC-3D equipment. The VIR IR Addition section specifies one FLIR A700 kit with IR lens (f=17mm with macro mode), one FLIR A700/400 lens (f=70mm), and one FLIR A700/400 lens (f=29mm), along with IR Module Add-on software to an existing VIC-Snap license, eight-piece IR calibration target set, IR fine-adjustment mount, one VIC-Gimbal Motorized Automatic Calibration System (WiFi disabled), and one VIC-DAQ FT 6-channel unit with 10 kS/s sampling and flexible triggering. The Digital Image Correlation High Temperature Hardware section requires four blue 30.5mm filters, two High Powered Blue-X Focus LED Lighting Systems with strobe and continuous lighting capabilities fully integrated in VIC-Snap 10, and two-year warranty on all non-consumables. Additional deliverables include two Blue-Hawk out-of-the-box stereo systems (FOV: 45mm x 40mm to 120mm x 105mm) each containing 24.6 megapixel cameras at 17 fps, Blue-X lite LED systems with strobe up to 10Hz, 60mm Schneider C-mount lenses, trigger and USB cables, extrusion and focusing stages, and rigidly mounted carbon fiber stereo configuration. Two VIC-DAQ FT units (10K samplers with triggering) are required with camera triggering capabilities, manual trigger switches, vibration/fatigue compatibility, and Blue X-Strobe light compatibility. Additional DIC system hardware includes two 25mm Schneider Jade lenses, 8-piece target set, VIC Gimbal with automated calibration, and various filters (blue, polarizing, and fluorescent) in M30.5 x .5 configuration. Delivery is to NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, ATTN: William Johnston, with final location at Building B1205, Room 114, 2 West Reid Street.
