About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a procurement by NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) located in Cleveland, Ohio.

NASA GRC requires procurement of an FAR Associates FMPI SpectroPyrometer system with software services and accessories. The SpectroPyrometer is an expert system multi-wavelength pyrometer featuring online tolerance and signal strength monitoring with spectral and total emissivity correction, absorption compensation, and integrated laser aiming. The unit has 0.1°C resolution, operates continuously or on-demand, and provides analog temperature output in 4–20 milliAmp, 0–20 mA, or 0–10 VDC formats. Results display on-screen and log to non-volatile memory, with raw data storage capability for later analysis. The system includes an integrated Windows PC and 30 days of data analysis support post-purchase. The SpectroPyrometer operates within a 300–2000°C (572–3632°F) temperature range. Additional required items include one fixed-focus lens assembly with 16-inch focal length, one 5-meter bifurcated fiberoptic cable with illumination leg for concurrent aiming and measurement, and one spectral emissivity on-screen display feature with wavelength-dependent data storage. Performance will occur at NASA Glenn Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44135, Mail Stop 106-1. The period of performance is 18–24 weeks after receipt of order (ARO).

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) requires the procurement of an FAR Associates FMPI Spectropyrometer, SW services and Accessories, the specifics are listed below.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

DESCRIPTION QTY.

SpectroPyrometer: expert system multi-wavelength pyrometer with on-line tolerance and signal strength (emissivity), spectral and total emissivity correction, absorption (offgas) compensation, and integrated laser for aiming. Resolution is 0.1°C. Measurement is either continuous or on operator demand. Analog temperature output is 4 – 20 milliAmp (0

– 20 mA or 0 – 10 VDC available). Results are printed to screen and to log in non-volatile memory. Raw data can be saved to non-volatile memory for later analysis if required. Unit includes integrated Windows PC. Data analysis for first 30 days after purchase is included. Model FMPI, temperature range of 300 - 2000°C/572 - 3632°F

Fixed-focus lens assy., focal length 16 inches 1

Fiberoptic cable, 5 meters long, bifurcated with illumination leg: allows for aiming and measuring concurrently

Spectral emissivity on-screen display; includes spectral emissivity as function of wavelength stored in data files

3. Place of Performance NASA Glenn Research Center 21000 Brookpark Rd, Cleveland, OH 44135 Mail Stop: 106-1

4. Period of Performance

18 - 24 weeks ARO
